Feast Waikato celebrates our wonderful region with a selection of fabulous foodie events; from dinners and lunches, colabs, pop ups, open days, tours, talks and markets. The CBD Events Progressive Dinner is back, plus this year there will be three hubs, Victoria on the River, Hamilton Gardens and NZMA, that will host great markets, free movies, fun family activities, workshops, classes and more.

Proudly organised by the Waitomo District Council, the Great NZ Muster is an annual event unique to the King Country. A cross between a country fair and a rural extravaganza, it truly is kiwi heartland at its best. Te Kuiti’s main street will be transformed with displays and specials to capture your attention. Sheep themed signs decorate shop fronts, sidewalks are lined with fantastic products, food stalls, arts and crafts and rural exhibits. Enjoy the entertainment on the main stage with exciting competitions, talented performers, and sheep mustering skills on display.

Mighty River Domain, Lake Karapiro
In its new home, Karapiro will host the 21st 100K Flyer for the 2nd year starting and finishing at the Mighty River Domain. Join over 1500 cyclists in this 100km circuit where you'll ride through quiet rolling country roads and some of the most scenic countryside in NZ. A great way to spend a weekend, with thousands of other riders! There are plenty of spot prizes and giveaways up for grabs.

Caludelands Event Centre
Kiwi icons Th’ Dudes announce they’ll reunite for Th’ Bliss Tour, performing five dates across New Zealand in April 2020. Touring for the first time without founding member Ian Morris, Th’ Dudes - Peter Urlich, Dave Dobbyn, Lez White and Bruce Hambling - will be joined by Ian’s brother Rikki Morris, who was the original sound engineer for the group. Originally formed as a high school band Krispie in 1975 and disbanding in 1980, Th’ Dudes had an incredible impact on the New Zealand music scene. Fans who want to feel the ‘70s pub vibe can purchase a special ‘Bliss’ ticket to stand right up the front close to the band, while seated tickets are available for those who want to sit back and enjoy the show.

Discover Waitomo Trail Run is back for the 5th time and is a true New Zealand underground overground adventure. Explorers will run or walk over and under 6, 11, 21 or 35km of landscape that has to be seen to be believed. Walkers, runners and children – indeed explorers of all ages and abilities – are encouraged to come along and explore Waitomo’s caves, native bush, canyons and glowworms. With courses to suit every appetite for adventure, Waitomo Trail Run is guaranteed to have something for everyone.

Raglan Old School Arts Centre, Raglan
The Raglan Arts Weekend open studio tour has been an anticipated annual event on the Raglan Arts Calendar since 2009. It features over 30 artists working in an exciting and diverse range of media from carved surfboards to ceramics, jewellery, glass bead making, photography and recycled metal sculpture as well as more traditional methods.

Hampton Downs Motorsport Park
Hampton Downs and the John Walker Find Your Field of Dreams Foundation proudly join forces to present this inaugural running event.
This unique event is guaranteed to be traffic free, is relatively flat and the location is one we are pretty sure you will not have run on before – a race track! There are sweeping corners, long straights, a gradual incline and the best part – a downhill corner on Turn 1!
The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels. The run will start at 11am and finish at 1pm with the goal to run as many laps of the 2.7km track at Hampton Downs as you can in two hours. Running for two hours is tough, so there will be a great line up awesome entertainment to keep you moving!
